Solution
Usage data of software products
Various mcs software products feature a web interface through which data is sent to an Elastic Cloud server. This makes it possible to collect data on software usage and stability, deployed software versions, and error situations in real time. The collected information is visualized on use-case-optimized dashboards and helps us continuously improve our products.
Evaluation of log data from devices
Using a log file parser, several different log file types are merged and uploaded to an Elastic Platform using Logstash. The collected data from several thousand devices can then be visualized and efficiently analyzed using Kibana.
Advantages
Collecting data from software and/or hardware components provides transparency. Using objective and anonymized data, we are able to continuously optimize the quality of our products and adapt functionalities even better to customer needs. Furthermore, it is possible to automatically detect known error patterns, something that is impossible manually. This allows errors to be identified before they become a problem.
