Safety through quality

Our claim: Quality is the conformity between the observed properties and the previously defined requirements of a unit under consideration. (IEC 2371)

Since September 27, 2013, our organizational and quality management has been certified according to the international standard ISO-9001:2015. Total Quality Management System (TQMi) covers all areas of the company and aims to document internal processes, identify interactions and define criteria and mechanisms for quality control of the processes.

As with agile software development, it is important to us to continuously develop our processes for the benefit and satisfaction of our customers, suppliers, and employees. For us, quality begins with clear, transparent processes. These are the foundation for well-trained and self-reliant employees, as well as the use of appropriate tools and resources for quality control.

We attach great importance to quality work and guarantee it as follows:

Milestones

Our goal is to deliver the best possible results to our clients. Founded in 1995, the name mcs is derived from the founders' initials and stands for Marti Conrad Software. Check out our milestones to learn more about our company's history.

2022

Eric Gutmann becomes new owner
Founder Georg Conrad sold the software company to Eric Gutmann, long-time employee and managing director of the subsidiaries in Bern and Thun.

New organization of the company structure
The parent company now operates as "mcs impact group ag." It oversees the two subsidiaries mcs software ag in Bern and mcs engineering ag in Landquart, as well as the newly restructured mcs digital solutions ag, which emerged from the Thun subsidiary. The management team, consisting of Eric Gutmann (mcs software ag) and Martin Metzger (mcs engineering ag), and all key employees will remain in place.

2013

Best apprenticeship qualification in the canton of Graubünden
The first apprentice trained by mcs successfully completed his training in 2013. We are proud that Remo Schneller received his certificate of proficiency as the best in the canton of Graubünden. His IPA (Individual Examination Paper) was nominated for the top 10 papers in Switzerland and received an award at the National Professional Development Conference in Bern.

Quality management and assurance certified according to ISO-9001:2008
mcs has made significant efforts to implement an organizational and quality management system that complies with the international standard ISO 9001:2008. We achieved this goal on September 27, 2013. This has laid a solid foundation for continuing to offer our customers high yet affordable quality and being a reliable partner when it comes to innovative software in the field of industrial information technology.

Winner of the intec Award 2013 Innovation Prize
Our collaboration with the grinding machine manufacturer Fritz Studer AG in Thun continues to bear fruit: The company won an award for its innovative product with our software solution "Studer Technology" at the intec 2013 trade fair in Leipzig.

2012

Winner of the PRODEX Innovation Award
We congratulate our customer Fritz Studer AG in Thun on the "PRODEX Award"! With "Studer Technology," a software solution won an innovation award at an international machinery trade fair for the first time. We developed this software in close collaboration with Fritz Studer AG. It radically simplifies the operation of grinding machines and reduces overall machining time by up to 50%. We are proud of our achievements and delighted to receive this award at the PRODEX trade fair in Basel.
